Dwyer Industries, Inc. was founded as The Dwyer Company in August of 1970 by Robert Dwyer. The company was started strictly as a manufacturer's representative agency, selling valve products from consigned inventories on a commission basis to the wholesale distribution market in Texas. In 1980 the company was incorporated under the name of Dwyer Industries, Inc. and continued to market valves to all industries through supply house distributors. Robert Dwyer retired in 1975 and his son Steve Dwyer, who had joined the company in 1975, became president of the corporation. By 1990 the company had grown and was offering a variety of pipe fittings, pipe nipples and pipe support products in addition to valves in various designs and materials.
Today we offer many products covering many industries. Valves are still a large part of our business, but we also offer malleable iron fittings, bronze fittings and brass nipples, forged steel fittings, API flanges and couplings, merchant steel couplings and fittings, pipe nipples in all schedules, grooved fittings and nipples along with a variety of pipe supports and strut products in both carbon steel and stainless steel.
